Training for Metro Organisations
The Academy has been pioneer in the field of training on Metro rail systems in India. The academy has distinction of training not only DMRC employees but also employees from other metro systems worldwide. Customized training is being imparted to the officials of other metro systems in various fields.

Training Module Durations
*Considering 6 days a week. Excluding NH/GH
** In case of SC/TO and CRA, topics on AFC system & TVS/ECS/BMS of duration 4 days may be added if required by organization.
Note: The duration of training mentioned above is tentative. The training modules have been prepared for a specific technology and can be customized to the actual requirement provided the design documents are made available to the delhi metro rail academy. The actual content and duration of training will vary accordingly.
SC/TO : Station Controller/Train Operator
CRA : Customer Relation Assistant
OJT : On job training
OJA : On job attachment
JE : Junior Engineer
The indicative job descriptions of each category of staff are given below:
Station Controllers/Train Operator (SC/TO):
The station controller is responsible for station management, revenue collection, crowd management and operations of train control system from Station Control Room. The Train Operator is responsible for driving the train in accordance with the Train Control system, troubleshooting failures in the train when required and manual operations of the train (in degraded mode) in case of any failure. In DMRC, the cadre of SC & TO is same i.e the incumbents are reshuffled between SC & TO on a periodic basis. The training module has been designed for a combined cadre. However, we may customize the training module for separate cadres of SC & TO also if required.
Customer Relation Assistant (CRA):
They are deputed at Customer Care Centre at every station. They are responsible for revenue related activities (ticketing), customer care, crowd management at the stations. They are the frontline staff having direct interface with the passengers.
Junior Engineer (JE):
The Junior Engineers are technical supervisory level staff in different wings of organization like Signalling, Telecommunication, Electrical & Maintenance, Civil, Rolling Stock. They are responsible for supervising the technical services of their respective areas.
Maintainers:
The Maintainers are also technical field staff in different wings of organization like Signalling, Telecommunication, Electrical & Maintenance, Civil, Rolling Stock. They are responsible for maintenance of assets in their respective areas. They generally work under close supervision of their concerned Junior Engineers.
