  • DMRA organizes Cricket match between faculties and trainees

    DMRA organized a cricket match between faculties and trainees on 21st March, 2024 at Shastri Park. The event, aimed at fostering teamwork and camaraderie, brought faculty and trainees of DMRA together in an exciting display of skill and sportsmanship. The match was a closely contested affair, with both teams demonstrating exceptional prowess amidst the cheers of enthusiastic spectators. Ultimately, the trainee team clinched victory in a nail-biting finish.

    Dr. Vikas Kumar, Hon’ble MD/DMRC, graced the occasion, facilitating both teams and emphasizing the paramount importance of teamwork, fair play, resilience, and sportsmanship. He underscored the significance of extracurricular activities in fostering a holistic development among individuals.

  • Officers from Urban Transport (UT) Division, MoHUA visit DMRA

    The second batch of officers from Urban Transport (UT) Division, MoHUA visited DMRA on 12th March, 2024. They were welcomed by Dean/DMRA and given a presentation on DMRA followed by visit to various state-of-the-art infrastructure and training facilities like Driving and Maintenance Simulators, Demonstration rooms and Digital Library. The visiting team was appreciative of the training set up of the academy.

  • Report on visit of ADG/IRITM

    Sh. Sanjay Tripathi, ADG/IRITM, came on a two-day visit to DMRA on 11th & 12th March 2024. The visit included a detailed presentation on DMRA, a tour of the training facilities, and productive discussions with faculty members. He commended DMRA for its state-of-the-art infrastructure, experienced faculty, and commitment to capacity building.

  • DMRA organizes specialized training on “Concrete Technology” for executives of NBCC

    DMRA organized a residential mid-career training program on “Concrete Technology” from 11 to 13 March 2024 for 26 Executives of NBCC (India) Ltd. ranging from Dy. General Managers to Dy. Project Managers

    The program covered various aspects of concrete technology starting from ingredients, design mix, concrete production, reinforcement detailing, test on concrete, water proofing, safety, IGBC & GRIHA rating systems etc.

    The training was well appreciated by the participants who conveyed their appreciation during video conferencing interaction with CMD / NBCC & personal interaction with Director Project/NBCC.

  • International delegation from Mangolia visits DMRA

    DMRA hosted an international delegation from Mongolia on 6th March 2024. The delegation, comprising representatives from the Ministry of Road Transport, Mangolia, Asian Development Bank, and officials from IIIT-D, were welcomed by Dean/ DMRA, followed by a brief presentation on DMRA and visit to various facilities at the academy such as Digital library, various Demonstration rooms, advanced Driving and Maintenance Simulators, providing them with an understanding of the academy's training capabilities.

    During the visit, DMRA provided insights into DMRC's advanced metro technology and facilitated a dialogue on potential future cooperation in metro operations and training. The delegates engaged in rich exchange of ideas and perspectives and appreciated DMRA for its hospitality, experienced faculties, and impressive training facilities.

  • DMRA organizes one-day workshop on "Developing Inner Powers" by Brahma Kumaris for DMRC executives

    DMRA organized a one-day workshop on "Developing Inner Powers" by Brahma Kumaris for DMRC executives on 26th Feb, 2024. The event featured distinguished speakers from Brahma Kumaris who shared valuable insights on cultivating a Stress-Free Lifestyle, understanding the Chemistry of Relations, and practicing Meditation in Action. The engaging sessions provided practical tools for executives to enhance their inner strength and well-being.

    The workshop concluded with the address of Dean/ DMRA, who underscored the significance of managing one’s emotions and meditation in fostering a balanced and harmonious life.

    The program was attended by 31 executives and received unanimous appreciation from the participants, highlighting its relevance and effectiveness. The program is a part of holistic developmental approach adopted by DMRC.

  • DMRC and Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, Vadodara sign MoU for academic collaboration.

    The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV), Vadodara signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Metro Bhawan on 15th Feb, 2024, in the presence of Dr. Vikas Kumar, Managing Director, DMRC and Professor (Dr.) Manoj Chaudhary, Vice Chancellor, Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya and other senior officials. This historic MoU marks a significant leap towards fostering collaboration, enriching academic endeavours, and establishing a lasting partnership between these two premier institutions.

    Both the DMRC and GSV will now work together to organise studies and research in the area of transportation and logistics, more particularly related to Metro Rail Technology, thereby, promoting research, education, and training; deepening the understanding of scientific, technological, and management issues; establishing a seamless platform for knowledge exchange; fostering innovative solutions across diverse disciplines by combining strengths, and enhancing capacity building through participative learning. The collaborative efforts are anticipated to create ripples of positive change in the academic and transportation landscape.

    Dr. Vikas Kumar, MD/DMRC while congratulating everyone involved in this initiative for their dedication and foresight, said, "This collaboration is indeed a win-win situation for both the institutions, marking a significant step towards contributing to the larger cause of nation-building”.

    DMRC, through its premier training academy known as ‘Delhi Metro Rail Academy’, is imparting customized training since 2002 on various aspects of project planning, implementation of operations and maintenance of rail based urban transportation systems etc. Whereas, Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) is India’s first University in the transportation and logistics sectors.   • DMRA organises Third Advanced Management Program for HODs of DMRC

    The 3rd Advanced Management Program for HODs of DMRC was organised at DMRA from 6th to 17th Feb, 2024. The highlights of the 10- days program were Organisational Development sessions at DMRA, Leadership and Management training from IIM Lucknow (Noida campus) and Industrial Visit to National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), Anand, Gujarat. The program was attended by 10 HODs.

  • DMRA conducts training on “Preventive Maintenance Checks on Rolling Stock” for executives of BHEL and Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd.

    A customised Training Program on “Preventive Maintenance Checks on Rolling Stock” was conducted for executives of BHEL and Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd. from 29th to 30th Jan, 2024 at DMRA. The two-days training program included interactive classroom sessions and site visits.

    A total of 14 executives from BHEL and 3 executives from Titagarh Rail Systems Ltd. participated in the program which received encouraging feedback from the participants.

  • DMRA Organizes Quiz Competition On the Eve of Republic Day

    To mark the occasion of 75th Republic Day, Delhi Metro Rail Academy, in keeping with its tradition, organized an exciting quiz competition on 25th Jan, 2024. The packed audience was treated to an exhilarating display of patriotic fervour as trainees engaged in a spirited and healthy competition. The winners & runner-ups were suitably awarded certificates by Sr. Professor(Civil)/DMRA.

  • DMRA organizes Training on “Project Planning, Execution & Control” for HOD level officers of Steel Authority of India

    A training program on “Project Planning, Execution & Control” was organized for HOD level officers of Steel Authority of India at DMRA from 17-19 Jan, 2024. The program featured interactive classroom sessions and insightful visits to construction sites. The program received highly encouraging and a positive response from the participants.

  • BHEL executives visit DMRA

    On 10th Jan, 2024, Sh. G.K. Gupta, Advisor / Mechanical / BHEL, along with his team visited DMRA. They were given a brief presentation on the facilities offered by the academy. The focus of their visit was to see the Rolling Stock facilities at DMRA. During the visit, the delegates were taken to RS-2 Driving Simulator, various Trouble shooting and Maintenance Simulators of Rolling Stock (RS-10) like Bogie, Brake, Traction Motor, Pantograph, VCC, Gangway Coupler, HVAC, etc. and GMSM room. The executives were impressed with the wide range of modern facilities offered by the academy.

  • Director (Niti Ayog) visits DMRA

    Sh. Md. Zubair Ali Hashmi (IAS), Director / NITI Aayog visited DMRA on 8th Jan, 2024. He was welcomed by Dean/DMRA and given an informative overview of the diverse and advanced facilities in DMRA. Sh. Hashmi was then guided through the various state-of-the-art facilities of DMRA such as Digital library, various Demonstration rooms, advanced Driving and Maintenance Simulators, ROCS & True Scale Tunnel Model providing him with an insight into the academy's training capabilities. He appreciated the academy for education and training purpose.

  • DMRA conducts specialized training for executives of NHAI

    A specialized Training Program on “Bridges and Structures: Design, Construction and Safety Aspects” was conducted for executives of National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) from 12.12.23 to 01.01.24 at DMRA. 15 executives attended the training which included interactive classroom sessions and site visits.
