Quiz Competition on the eve of Republic Day
On the eve of 73rd Republic Day, a quiz competition was organized by Delhi Metro Rail Academy on 25thJan, 2022. 16 trainees from different disciplines participated in the online event. The event witnessed large participation from various ongoing batches who participated with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm. The audience comprising of faculty members and trainees were well-entertained by the fierce but healthy competition amongst the trainees.

DMRC conducts Fifth Virtual Program titled “Towards an Ethical Work Culture” for executives from PSUs, PSBs and Other Govt. organisations
A 3-days Virtual Program “Towards an Ethical Work Culture” was conducted by DMRC in collaboration with IC-CfG from 18-20 Jan, 2022 for PSUs and PSBs. 33 participants from 8 organizations including DMRC officers participated in the program. Besides interactive sessions with eminent speakers, the program provided the participants an insight into best practices in Ethical Work Culture adopted by DMRC.

Director/Operations visits DMRA
Director/Operations made his maiden visit to Delhi Metro Rail Academy (DMRA) on 30 Dec 2021after assuming the charge. He was welcomed by Dean/DMRA on arrival in DMRA. During his visit, he was briefed about the training status. He also inspected all the newly installed simulators of phase-III including RS-10 train driving simulator, RS simulators, ATS simulator, ECS/TVS simulator, Civil demonstration room etc.

Sensitivity Training at DMRA
The 2-days ‘Sensitivity Training’ had been organised for HR officers/staff at DMRA from 23-24 Nov and 14-15 Dec 2021 with an objective to underline key issues in dealing with employees and how sensitivity at workplace can prevent dissatisfaction among employees and boost their morale. A total of 53 participants attended the said training.
On 15 Dec 2021, Dr.Mangu Singh, MD/DMRC, interacted with HR officers/staff undergoing ‘Sensitivity Training’ at DMRA. The interactive session was an enriching experience for the executives and staff. The inspirational words of Hon’ble MD will go a long way in motivating the HR professionals towards achieving organizational goals with increased sensitivity. Prior to the interaction with the Managing Director, Directors Infrastructure had also interacted with the participants.

Training for NCRTC officials
5-days long customized training programs organised for employees of NCRTC. The program was a blend of classroom training, & field visits. The training received encouraging feedback from the participants. The participants were provided certificate of participation after completion of the program.

Mass reading of the Preamble performed by faculty and trainees of DMRA
“Constitution Day” was observed at DMRA on 26 Nov, 2021 with mass reading of the Preamble to the Constitution by the faculty and trainees of the academy. The mass reading was organised in various batches at classrooms, simulators and on field.

A Flag Hoisting ceremony was organized at Delhi Metro Rail Academy on 15th August 2021 on the occasion of 75th Independence Day of India. Dean/ DMRA hoisted the National Flag in the presence of Faculty members.

DMRA organizes Quiz Competition on the eve of Independence Day
On the occasion of 75th Independence Day, a quiz competition was organized by Delhi Metro Rail Academy on 13th Aug, 2021 with a focus on the theme of the year ‘Nation First, Always First'. The event witnessed healthy competition amongst the trainees. The winners & runner-ups were presented with certificates by the Dean/DMRA. All Covid-19 related protocols were followed during the event.

Managing Director, Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. visits DMRA
Managing Director, Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation Ltd., Sh. Ranjeet Singh Deol, visited DMRA and Shastri Park Depot on 9thJuly, 2021. During the visit he appreciated the facilities in Depot and DMRA especially the use of Simulators as a way of learning. He praised the motivation of staff in training and making DMRC one of the best organizations. He also recorded his views in the visitor’s book.

Officers. 71 participants from 16 organizations participated in the program. Besides interactive sessions with eminent speakers, the program provided the participants an insight into best practices in Ethical Work Culture adopted by DMRC. The program received excellent feedback from the participants.

DMRA starts Inter-departmental training for executives
In order to develop an insight of interdepartmental systems/procedures, broaden horizons, build a strong base and to enhance capability of executives, DMRA started Inter-departmental training of executives. Special modules of around one-week duration were prepared for this training.

The first batch of interdepartmental training commenced on 15 th March, 2021 and so far, 175 executives from S&T, Electrical, RS and Civil department have been successfully trained.

DMRC conducts Virtual Program titled “Towards an Ethical Work Culture” for executives from PSUs, PSBs and Other Govt. organisations
A 3 days Virtual Program titled “Towards an Ethical Work Culture” was conducted by DMRC in collaboration with IC CfG for PSUs, PSBs and other Govt. Officers. So far 167 participants from 21 organizations participated in the program. It was a maiden occasion for DMRC to organize a program for such a large number of non- metro organizations. The program was very well received and appreciated by the participants.

Conduct Of First Training Batch For Foundation Of Executives Joined On Lateral Basis
With a view to inculcate basic understanding of working in DMRC and to give an overview of various systems, HR policies, Finance, etc. to the officers joining through lateral entry, a 5-days training program was organised from 8-12 March 2021. The program was attended by 20 executives who appreciated the initiative and gave encouraging feedback.

On the occasion of Republic Day, an online Quiz Competition was organized by DMRA, on 28th Jan, 2021 to create awareness amongst the audience and participants. The quiz was conducted in conducive environment and achieved its objectives successfully.

Inauguration of New Simulator Building by Dr. Mangu Singh, Hon’ble Managing Director
In its pursuit to further upgrade its world class training facility at the Delhi Metro Rail Academy (DMRA), Shastri Park, a new four-storey simulator building, Block -A, was inaugurated on 15 th Jan, 2021, in the DMRA premises by Dr. Mangu Singh, Hon’ble Managing Director / DMRC in the presence of directors and other officials. The four-story building shall house most modern training infrastructure including Rolling Stock Maintenance Simulators, Driving Simulators, Signalling Simulators, Electrical and Civil Demonstration rooms. Additionally, the building shall also accommodate state-of-art Telepresence room and a most modern Library, a leap in the digitalization process.

Customized Training Programs
In addition to the regular training of its employees, DMRA organizes training programs for other Metro Rail organizations
on need basis. During the financial year 2020-21, customized training programs were organized on various subjects for
about 61 employees of MMMOCL.

Online Quiz Competition on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti
On the eve of Gandhi Jayanti, a Quiz Competition was organized by DMRA via online platform, on 1st Oct, 2020. The focus of the quiz was life and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi. The event witnessed large participation from various ongoing batches who participated with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm. The audience comprising of faculty members and trainees were well-entertained by the fierce but healthy competition amongst the trainees. After the program, Dean/ DMRA highlighted the important facets of Gandhiji’s life and philosophy.

To create the spirit of patriotism and team building spirit amongst the trainees, a quiz competition was organized in the auditorium of Delhi Metro Rail Academy on 24th January 2020, on the eve of the 71st Republic Day. This cheerful program saw healthy competition among the trainees. Winners and runner-up were suitably awarded by Dean/DMRA.

DMRC Training Institute given a new name and logo
DMRC Training Institute functioning since 2002 at Shastri Park Depot was given a new name and logo on 18th Sept. 2019. The institute will henceforth be known as the Delhi Metro Rail Academy (DMRA) which has so far imparted training to around 25,000 DMRC personnel and 2,000 personnel from other Metros in India and neighboring countries. Dr. Mangu Singh, Managing Director/DMRC who was present during the renaming ceremony said, “The Delhi Metro Rail Academy will further raise the bar in the quality of training in the field of Mass Rapid Transit System (MRTS).

In order to encourage extracurricular activities and to develop team building spirit amongst the trainees, a quiz competition was held in Meditation Hall of DMRC Training Institute on 14th Aug. 2019 on the eve of 73rd Independence Day, among four nos. of teams of selected trainees of different on-going batches. Winners and runner-ups were suitably awarded.

5th International Yoga Day
To commemorate the occasion of 5th International Yoga Day, a mass yoga session was organized at the Metro Train Depot in Shastri Park on 21st Jun, 2019, under the aegis of DMRC Training Institute. DMRC Staff attended the event in large number and performed yoga. Yoga sessions/classes have always been an integral part of the training curriculum at DMRC Training Institute.

Foundation Training Programme for Assistant Managers
DMRC Training Institute organised two “Foundation Training Programme for Assistant Managers” for newly recruited Assistant Managers from 08 May 2019 to 28 May 2019 and 14 Jun. 2019 to 03 Jul. 2019. During the program, participants were given overview on various systems and procedures in classroom sessions and field visits. The program included one-day training session on Leadership & Management by specialist faculty (external). The training program received encouraging feedbacks from the participants.

25th Foundation Day
On the occasion of 25th Foundation Day of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited, the Silver Jubilee Celebration was organised at Manekshaw Center on 3rd May 2019, where Hon'ble Vice-President of India Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu graced the occasion. The Vice President congratulated Delhi Metro for entering 25th year and also praised its commendable efforts of providing first class service. On this occasion, Managing Director Awards were given to eligible winners by the Vice President.
Also, on this occasion, Silver Jubilee Celebrations and Directors' Award ceremony were celebrated with great enthusiasm by organizing a cultural program on 02nd May 2019 at Shah Auditorium, Civil Lines, Delhi. Approx. 77 DMRC employees participated in the cultural program and displayed their creativity. All participants meted out spectacular performances in various cultural events viz. group songs, group dance, skit, poetry etc. which was appreciated by one and all.

Security Awareness Week
To commemorate "National Security Day" dated 4th Mar, 2019, "Security Awareness Week" was organized in DMRC from 4th Mar, 2019 to 10th Mar. 2019. On 5th Mar, 2019, in order to strengthen positive behaviour on the workplace, to provide a safe working environment and to create awareness of safety among employees, all the faculty and trainees in DMRC Training Institute, pledged to fulfil their commitment to safety.

D-LITE (Do Lasting Improvement in Travel Experience)
In DMRC’s ever continued endeavour towards accomplishment of stated vision & mission of organization, a training program named D-LITE (Do Lasting Improvement in Travel Experience) - an initiative for achieving excellence in customer services, was conducted for staff of station operations, from 26 to 28 February. 2019 and 20 to 22 May, 2019. The idea of D-LITE is to generate a second wave of customer service improvement in DMRC to take the level of service to a level beyond expectations of customers. This 3 days programme included activity oriented sessions such as role play, case studies, field visits & presentations by the participants.

Dr. Mangu Singh, Managing Director, addressed the newly appointed 38 Assistant Managers of Signaling and Telecommunication and Civil Department on 4th Jan, 2019. His gracious presence and ‘Margdarshan’ not only motivated and inspired them, but will also play an important role in developing these budding officers as professionals.
