Delhi Metro Rail Academy believes in trainees' competence building as well as their overall mental and physical progress. The Academy also emphasizes on intellectual advancement besides quality training, yoga, meditation etc. A library is an important part of any training set up and is a source of knowledge to the trainees that develops the habit of reading amongst the trainees.

Following on the practice, a library has been set up in the Academy for the knowledge and intellectual development of the trainees. The library is enriched with the compilation of 7000 books related to various subjects such as Management, Engineering, Technical, Law, English literature, Hindi literature and Children’s literature.

More than 800 journals / manuals and CDs related to the metro systems are available. Selected books of famous writers of Computer Science and IT, Technical, Engineering, Law, Management etc. are kept here.

In Hindi literature, a person’s views are easily facilitated by the life and thoughts of scholars, saints, poets, writers, etc. The library has 2500 books in Hindi, embellished with the autobiographies of scientists, noble men, great politicians and well-equipped with novels, works of poetry, memoirs and great stories of great writers and poets, such as Premchand, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, Mahadevi Verma, Jayashankar Prasad, Suryakant Tripathi Nirala, Sumitranand Panth etc.

In the English literature, 1800 books are available of renowned and current writers. In Technical Section, 900 modern and contemporaneous books of Mechanics, Electrical, Electronics, Civil etc. are available. There are 500 books on Computer and IT and round about 700 books on References.

Training related Books, Modules, CDs are also kept in the library, which are very useful for trainees.

At present, the number of members in the library is more than 3000. Membership of the library is provided free of cost to all the officers and employees of the organization, which is valid for three years and is renewed again in three years. Accounting of Books is done in digital format. The collections of the library are continuously evaluated and promoted, on the recommendations of the staff and officers who contribute invaluably.
