DMRA organizes workshop on “Sharing is Growing” for metros across India A two days workshop themed “Sharing is Growing” was organised by DMRA on 17th and 18th November, 2022. The workshop was inaugurated by Hon’ble MD, DMRC and Vice President & CEO, Indian Metro Rail Organizations’ Society. A total of 27 participants from 12 different metros across the country participated in this workshop and appreciated the initiative. Experts from DMRC shared their experiences from various domains of Mass Rapid Transit System during the workshop.

DMRA organizes “Run for Unity” on the occasion of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas To commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, celebrated as Rashtriya Ekta Diwas, a ‘Run For Unity’ event was organized on 31st Oct, 2022 under the aegis of Delhi Metro Rail Academy. The run was flagged off by Dean/ DMRA. The officers and staff of DMRC actively participated in the event.

State-of-the-art Tele-Presence Room among other upgraded facilities inaugurated at Delhi Metro Rail Academy Adding yet another milestone to over 20 years of its glorious existence, Delhi Metro Rail Academy (DMRA) recently unveiled its upgraded & revamped facilities. On 18th Aug, 2022, Sh. Vikas Kumar, Hon’ble Managing Director/DMRC in the presence of Director/ Infrastructure and other senior officials, inaugurated a new State-of-the-art Tele-Presence Room, an Ultra-Modern Library, Operations and S&T Demo Rooms, a revamped MDP & EDP Room, a Yoga & Meditation Hall among other facilities at DMRA. On the occasion, a new brochure of the academy was also unveiled. In its journey of two decades, the academy has trained around 58,000 DMRC personnel and more than 2,000 personnel from other organisations in India as well as neighbouring countries.

National Flag hoisted at DMRA on the occasion of 76th Independence Day On the occasion of 76th Independence Day of India, a Flag Hoisting ceremony was organized at Delhi Metro Rail Academy on 15th August 2022. Dean/ DMRA hoisted the National Flag in the presence of faculty members.

DMRA organizes Quiz Competition on the eve of Independence Day On the occasion of 76th Independence Day, a quiz competition was organized by Delhi Metro Rail Academy on 10th Aug, 2022 with a focus on the theme of the year ‘Nation First, Always First'. The event witnessed healthy competition amongst the trainees. The winners & runner-ups were presented with certificates by the Dean/DMRA

DMRA celebrates International Yoga Day The 8th International Yoga Day was celebrated with much fervour and zeal at DMRA on 21st June, 2022. A mass yoga session was organized which witnessed large participation from faculty, officers, staff and trainees. Dean/DMRA addressed the gathering on the occasion and underlined the importance of yoga in our physical and mental well-being.

DMRA conducts training on “Data Science with Python Data Science is very relevant in today’s times and is helping organisations to improve performance/quality/output. DMRC has always been keen on adopting latest technological developments, which enhance quality and efficiency of service for our commuters. In order to inculcate/ enhance the knowledge of officers/staff in the domain of Data Science, a 6-days program on “Data Science with Python- basic level”, a 6-days program on “Data Science with python- Intermediate level” and a 9-days program on “Training of AI-ML Part-1” was conducted at DMRA. The program received positive feedback from the participants.

MD inaugurates “Mindfulness Workshop” for HODs at DMRA The First Workshop on “Mindfulness” for HODs was organized at DMRA on 21-22 April, 2022. Honorable MD inaugurated the first workshop. The objective of the program was to create self-awareness awareness and enhancing personal and professional well-being of employees and hence enhancing productivity. 20 HODs participated in the program which received excellent feedback. The Second Workshop on “Mindfulness” was organized at DMRA on 13th & 14th Sept, 2022. 20 HODs participated in the program. The workshops were facilitated by M/s Ashis Sen Consultancy and Coaching.

Dhaka Metro officials complete training at DMRA and Dhaka The Dhaka Metro officials from Operations, Rolling Stock, Signaling and Telecom, Electrical and Civil wing completed their training at DMRA. The intensive training of 7 batches comprising 114 Executives/Supervisors trained at DMRA and 33 Non-Supervisors trained at DHAKA. The training was a blend of classroom training, practical sessions, demonstrations, simulator exposure, hands-on practice and On-job-attachment. The trainees were presented with certificates on successful completion of the training.

Training for MMMOCL trainees on Simulators in DMRA It may be stated here that DMRC has installed state-of-the-art train driving simulators at DMRA which are very useful in imparting hands-on driving practice and systems troubleshooting. So far, 10 batches comprising 221 trainees have undergone training on various simulators in DMRA.

Quiz Competition on the eve of Republic Day On the eve of 73rd Republic Day, a quiz competition was organized by Delhi Metro Rail Academy on 25thJan, 2022. 16 trainees from different disciplines participated in the online event. The event witnessed large participation from various ongoing batches who participated with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm. The audience comprising of faculty members and trainees were well-entertained by the fierce but healthy competition amongst the trainees.

DMRC conducts Fifth Virtual Program titled “Towards an Ethical Work Culture” for executives from PSUs, PSBs and Other Govt. organisations A 3-days Virtual Program “Towards an Ethical Work Culture” was conducted by DMRC in collaboration with IC-CfG from 18-20 Jan, 2022 for PSUs and PSBs. 33 participants from 8 organizations including DMRC officers participated in the program. Besides interactive sessions with eminent speakers, the program provided the participants an insight into best practices in Ethical Work Culture adopted by DMRC.
