Managing Director/ Dhaka Metro visited DMRA

Managing Director/Dhaka Metro visited DMRA on 11th Dec, 2023. He was welcomed by Dean/DMRA and was briefed about the various state-of-the-art facilities at DMRA. He was guided through the various facilities of DMRA such as Digital library, various Demonstration rooms, advanced Driving and Maintenance Simulators, providing him with an in-depth understanding of the academy's training capabilities. He appreciated all the facilities and staff of the academy.

DMRA organizes one-day Workshop on “Understanding Metro Railways (Operation & Maintenance)” for i-metro officials

DMRA organized a one-day workshop on “Understanding Metro Railways (Operation & Maintenance)” on 8th Dec, 2023, as a Capacity Building initiative. The workshop aimed to enhance knowledge & capacity and foster exchange of ideas/ experience in the metro sector.

The program provided the participants an understanding of the good maintenance practices adopted by Delhi Metro besides offering insights into Traffic Operations Planning, Demand/ Supply Forecasting & Scheduling of Trains.

A total of 22 participants from 9 organizations attended the event which was very well-received.

Officers from Urban Transport (UT) Division, MoHUA visit DMRA

Officers from Urban Transport (UT) Division, MoHUA visited DMRA on 22nd November, 2023. They were given a presentation on various state-of-the-art facilities available in DMRA followed by a guided visit to various Driving and Maintenance Simulators, Demonstration rooms, Digital Library and True Scale Tunnel Model.

5th Management Development Program for Dy. HODs organized at DMRA

DMRA successfully conducted the 5th Management Development Program for Dy. HOD level officers from 20th Nov to 6th Dec, 2023.

The program has been designed to enrich the participants with advanced tools and skills so that they can further contribute to the organization's growth and success.

The program included interactive organizational development sessions at DMRA, Leadership & Management training at FMS, Delhi and insightful Industry visit to BEL, Bengaluru. 19 Dy. HODs participated in this enriching training experience.

JICA team visits DMRA

Mr. Saito Mitsunori, Chief Representative JICA along with his team visited DMRA on 30th Oct, 2023. Dean/DMRA welcomed the delegation. The delegates were briefed about the facilities in the academy which was followed by a guided tour of DMRA. The highlights of the tour included visit to various Simulators, Digital library, Demonstration rooms, CBT Lab and the newly constructed True Scale Tunnel Model. Visiting delegates praised the facilities and staff dedication.

DMRA conducts three programs on “Ethics and Governance” for executives from PSUs, PSBs and Other Govt. organisations

In pursuance to the guidelines issued by the office of CVC, DMRA organized three programs on “Ethics and Governance” for executives from PSUs, PSBs and Other Govt. organisations. The first program was organized from 05-07 Oct, the second program from 16-18 Oct and the third program (Online) from 25-27 Oct, 2023. A total of 157 participants from various organizations across the country participated in these three programs. Besides interactive sessions with eminent speakers, the program provided the participants an insight into best practices in Ethical Work Culture adopted by DMRC.

Vice Chancellor/ Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya visits DMRA

Dr. Manoj Chaudhary, Vice Chancellor of Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) accompanied by faculty members of GSV visited DMRA on 24 th Aug, 2023. The visiting delegation was briefed about the facilities available at DMRA. This was followed by a tour of the facilities of the academy including state-of-the-art Telepresence room, Digital library, various Demonstration rooms, Simulators, CBTs and the newly constructed True Scale Tunnel Model.

National Flag hoisted at DMRA on the occasion of 77 th Independence Day

To commemorate the occasion of 77 th Independence Day of India, a Flag Hoisting ceremony was organized at Delhi Metro Rail Academy on 15 th August 2023. ED/ CETUSE hoisted the National Flag in the presence of DMRA faculty members and addressed the gathering.

DMRA conducts training on “Rolling Stock Systems and Depot Working” for executives of CAF India

DMRA conducted a specialized training program on 'Rolling Stock Systems and Depot Working' exclusively for CAF India executives from 14th to 18th August, 2023. The training was customised to align with the requirements of the participating organization. The program attracted positive feedback from the participants.

DMRA organizes Quiz Competition on the eve of Independence Day

To mark the occasion of 77 th Independence Day, Delhi Metro Rail Academy, in keeping with its tradition, organized an exciting quiz competition on 11 th Aug, 2023. The packed audience was treated to an exhilarating display of patriotic fervour as trainees engaged in a spirited and healthy competition. The winners & runner-ups were suitably awarded certificates by ED/ CETUSE.

DMRA conducts specialized training on “‘Lift Operation & Maintenance” for Indian Railway officials

DMRA conducted a specialized training program on ‘Lift Operation & Maintenance’ for 15 engineers/ technicians of Indian Railways from 7th to 10th Aug, 2023. The training was designed to cater to the specific requirement of Indian Railways and enhance the skill sets of their staff. The participants appreciated the program.

On 25.07.2023, in a formal function, Dr. Jitendra Singh, MoS (Independent Charge) of Ministry of Science & Technology, MoS in the Prime Minister’s Office , MoS in the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievance & Pensions, MoS in the Department of Atomic Energy and MoS in the department of Space, awarded the accreditation certificate.

Fourth Management Development Program for Dy. HODs organized at DMRA

DMRA successfully conducted the fourth Management Development Program for 23 nos. of Dy. HOD level officers of various departments, from 3 rd to 18 th July, 2023. This program has been designed to enrich the participants with advanced tools and skills so that they can further contribute to the organization's growth and success. The program included organizational development sessions at DMRA, Leadership & Management training at FMS, Delhi and Industry visit to BEL, Bengaluru.

DMRA celebrates International Yoga Day

A mass yoga session was organised by DMRA on 21st June, 2023 to commemorate the 9 th International Yoga Day. The event witnessed active participation from faculty, officers, staff and trainees. Dean/DMRA addressed the gathering, highlighting the significance of yoga in promoting both physical and mental well-being. The theme for this year's event was "Yoga for Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam".

DMRA conducts training for Train Operators of MMMOCL

The third batch of 17 Train Operators from MMMOCL completed their training at DMRA on 15 th May, 2023. The intensive training spanning over 67 training days included classroom training, practical sessions, demonstrations, simulator exposure and hands- on driving practice. The training received positive feedback from the participants.

Director (Operations & Services) visits DMRA

Dr. Amit Kumar Jain, new Director/Operations & Services made his maiden visit to Delhi Metro Rail Academy (DMRA) on 6 th May, 2023, after assuming the charge. He was welcomed by Dean/DMRA on arrival at DMRA. During the visit, he saw different facilities in the academy including State-of-the-art Tele-Presence Room, Digital Library, Driving & Maintenance Simulators, various Demo Rooms, MDP & EDP Room, Yoga & Meditation Hall, True Scale Tunnel Model, etc.

DMRA conducts training for OCC Controllers of DB/RRTS India

The training of first batch of 16 OCC Controllers from DB/RRTS Operations India Private Ltd, a company looking after Operations & Maintenance of Delhi-Ghaziabad- Meerut RRTS corridor of NCRTC, was conducted by DMRA from 1 st May to 6 th May, 2023. The 6-days training was conducted as per customised module to prepare the participants for their role ahead.

UITP members visit DMRA

As a part of the 6th UITP Urban Rail Seminar 2023 – “Success stories of India and Southeast Asia” hosted by Delhi Metro, Senior officials of Urban Rail companies of India and abroad and industry experts visited DMRA on 3rd March, 2023. During the visit, the delegates were given a guided tour of the facilities at DMRA including state-of-the-art Telepresence room, various Simulators and CBTs.

European Union delegation visits DMRA

A delegation of European Union (EU) visited DMRA on 14th February, 2023. Dean/ DMRA welcomed the delegates. The delegates visited various facilities of DMRA including Driving & Maintenance Simulators and Demo Rooms.

The highlights of the program were Organisational Development sessions at DMRA, Leadership and Management training from IIM Lucknow (Noida campus) and one visit to Industry of repute.
